Senior Water Treatment Specialist

Lead the development, specification and compliance of water treatment and recycling systems.
About the role

In this role, you will take technical ownership of Wyma’s water treatment and recycling systems, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and seamlessly integrated into our broader product offering. You will work closely with engineering, product management, sales, project delivery, and customers to define performance, support delivery, and maintain regulatory compliance, while also playing a key role in testing, standardisation, supplier collaboration, and supporting commissioning, aftersales, and warranty resolution globally.

  • Assist in the development and strategic evolution of Wyma’s water treatment and recycling product portfolio
  • Support and contribute to system and process design, tailoring solutions to meet customer’s needs, including plant layout, P&ID diagrams, chemical treatment systems, and integration of third-party equipment (e.g., RO and UV systems).
  • Provide technical support to global sales and project teams during specification, quoting, delivery, and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards (AS/NZS, ISO, IEC) and support customers with local regulatory assessments
  • Define and validate system performance specifications, operational parameters, and testing programmes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, specification tools, and training materials

To be successful in the role you will have

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemical, Process, or Civil Engineering, or extensive equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience in water treatment and industrial water systems, including delivering solutions through installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes (filtration, sedimentation, chemical dosing, disinfection, reverse osmosis) including experience with pump/pipework design, P&ID diagrams, and equipment sizing.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments with experience in quality assurance, testing, and validation processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused approach with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
